Cat Café

One of my Cats.
Isn't she adorable!?

Just who doesn't love cats? Cats are one of the most adored pets throughout the world. Even I presently have 3 cats. And they are lovely! Well, cats are always so cute!
As much as I'd like to go on with my ramblings on how wonderful cats are, I'd go straight to the point. As the title suggests, I am going to be introducing in this post on Cat Cafe.

Cat Flower Garden.

The world's first Cat cafe, Cat Flower Garden, opened in Taipei, Taiwan in 1998, attracting vast amount of customers from not only Japan, but all over the world. I guess from then on, with such bussiness flourishing, many other cat cafes have found themselves being opened throughout! Though if I were to be talking based on locally, there are indeed Cat cafes in Singapore too. Did you know that there are not just one but 5 cat cafes in Singapore? The first ever cat cafe being the very Neko No Niwa! Almost all of them are located in the city area.

Serving food and such.

But how exactly do these cafes actually work?
From what I've read, these Cat cafes basically serves mainly coffee as well as pastries and such, while you are being accompanied by cats. Well of course you won't sit there and watch the cats! You can play with them! Isn't that exciting!?

You get to play with them!

I haven't been to any of these cafes before but speaking as a cat lover, I'd definitely visit one in the future!
Overall, I find the idea of having Cat cafes to be wonderful! Afterall, scientists did discovered that spending time with cats, helps your blood pressure and relieve stress!
To end off, I'd like to see more of this cafes launched in the future. Maybe even have dog cafes or bird cafes!? I would definitely love to see those.

Fairytales are more than that...

Fairytales. That very word, brings us back instantly to our childhood memories, where we are told such magical stories of princesses and faeries to monsters and evil curses. But, that is just what most people see it as. Stories. Meant as silly imaginations. Meant only for childrens.
To me, fairytales are more than that. Each and every individual tale has a lesson to be learnt from. I look at each of them as a reminder.

Being brought up by fairytales, be it from the original books or from Disney itself, I have realized how they have made a huge impact in my lives, and possibly other lives as well. Fairytales does not only lift our imaginations and creativity to its highest point, but it also builds up our morals and personal character. When we were given these tales as a child, it acts as a base that we can refer to in regardance to many things! Be it learning to do good or how happy endings are possible. These tales shows us how doing good deeds is worth it, even if there are great challenges and obstacles we have to go through in our lives. Take Cinderella as an example. She continues being gentle and kind even though she has such evil step mother and sisters. In the end of all of her misery, she did get her happy ending.
All of this proves just how important these tales are. It gives us great understanding and withstand the pressures in our life.

As much as this generation is set towards 'realistic thinkings' as well as views, fairytale still does inspires artists and many others. From famous movies as Cinderella to fairytale fashion coutures.
One prime example I would like to introduce, is my all time favourite show, Once Upon A Time. This show is of adaptations of various different fairytales with their very own unique twist. Personally, I think this show is beautiful and brilliant. They center important morals while entertaining the audience. One thing I love about this show is that even the nastiest of villains are given a chance to redeem themselves and get their own happy endings, which I find it to be incredible. Things like this proves how fairytales are vital and how it actually can change our way of life.

Ending off, I'd like to reassert my statement of Fairytales are more than that. It indulges us in magic, imaginations, understanding, purity and so much more. But what I think is the main purpose of fairytales is that it gives us hope.
Hope in a world where sufferings and challenges are met.
Hope in this world when we feel like giving up.
Hope in here when there's so little of it...
Fairytales would always be a part of me.
And I certainly do hope it would continue being passed down to the generations ahead, as it has for eras.
For fairytales are definitely worth it.

Breaking the rule~ Fashion in a new perspective

Fashion in a new perspective

                        "Backwards Heels"
                             Peter Popps
                      Christian Louboutin
                            Viktor & Rolf
Viktor & Rolf

Fashion is considered Art when designers bend the rules to add their own touch of creativity.
To support this statement, there are few images that I'd like to share.

Heading straight to the point, In the shoe industry, there are many variations of shoes that changes the concept of what shoes are.
Seen in the first picture above, is a 'Backwards Heels' designed by Leanie Van der Vyver and Renè Van den Berg. They have changed the whole concept of how shoes are supposed to be worn by having the normal back of the shoe to the front and the front to the back, as seen in the picture and from the title of the heels itself.
"I wanted to see where sexy ends and grotesque begins" was what Van der Vyver said, unsettled by the lengths human go to alter their bodies in search of perfection.
Same goes to the other two shoes shown in the above picture. A Peter Popps heels (2nd pic) and the famous Christian Laboutin ballet heels (3rd pic). These shoes were the outcome when daring designers break the rules of reality to form their own art.

Moving on to the clothing apparels, Viktor & Rolf is a reknowned fashion design brand who are at the same time, artists.
Their clothing designs are always seen to have more of an 'artistic feel' than a usual fashion apparel we often see.
Especially seen in the last two images shown above, Viktor & Rolf are known to exaggerate and change the silhoutte of women by giving them their very own unique shape. The structures and designs applied to each and every clothing article of theirs are of elaborate uniqueness and difference.

In my opinion, these whole concept of changing the way of fashion is rather interesting but at the same time, odd.
Interesting as it is of rare occurance to view such intelligence and creativity expressed by designers who bends the rules.
Odd because I feel that it won't be of any comfort to be fitted in such apparels! There must be a lot of pain and balance when wearing heels as the 'Backwarda Heels' or uncomfort if one were to wear a clothing article of Viktor & Rolf and such.
Nontheless, I do think that most of this fashion apparels are more of an artwork than something to be actually worn in a regular basis.
